Harbin International Hotel

哈尔滨国际饭店，原为新哈尔滨旅馆，坐落于黑龙江省博物馆广场，今哈尔滨市南岗区西大直街与红军街转角处，1936 年 5 月动工修建，1937 年 6 月竣工，7 月正式开业，1978 年更名为“国际饭店”。它由酷爱音乐的著名建筑设计师彼·谢·斯维利多夫设计，建筑风格十分独特，是全球仅存的“手风琴”式建筑，比较集中地体现出了新艺术运动的追求，装饰轻巧多变，风格淡雅清新。这里曾接待过国家重要领导人及国内外各界知名人士，见证了哈尔滨这座城市的发展历程。

Harbin International Hotel, originally known as the New Harbin Hotel, is located in the Museum Square of Heilongjiang Province, at the corner of Xidazhi Street and Hongjun Street in Nangang District, Harbin. The hotel was built in May 1936, completed in June 1937, and o ficially opened in July of the same year.In 1978, it was renamed “International Hotel”. It was designed by the renowned architect Pyotr S. Sviridov, who had a great passion for music. The architectural style is quite unique, representing one of the few remaining “accordion” style buildings in the world. It exemplifies the pursuits of the Art Nouveau movement with its light and varied decorations and an elegant and refreshing style. Harbin International Hotel has been a significant venue for hosting national leaders and well-known fi gures from various sectors, both domestical and international, and has witnessed the development of Harbin.
