Open source methodologies and frameworks
Open source advocates provide us with some very thorough options that we can select for our starting point. Each option offers a structure that is typically free or biased toward a specific vendor or toolset. In fact, most of the open source frameworks developed by not-for-profit organizations can only be implemented with a cross-section of tools for full coverage. Additional guidance from organizations such as the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C, https://www.w3.org ) and the Web Applications Security Council (WASC, http://www.webappsec.org ) can assist in rounding out your processes.
