Pattern Structures

In English, describing the condition or quality of a person or object is usually done by using the verb ‘to be’ plus an adjective: E.g,
Peter is busy. My father is very well.
In Chinese, the function of describing is done by using a Chinese Adjective (Stative Verb). However, note that ‘is’ is already embedded in the Chinese Adjective. So it is wrong if you add a separate word for ‘is’ in sentences describing conditions or characteristics.
