The phrase ‘zài + noun’ can be used to modify a predicate. It is known as a place adverbial if it indicates where the action takes place. As a rule, place adverbials always go before the predicate. E.g.
‘Wǒ zài dàxué jiāo Yīngyǔ.’ , ‘Tā zài Měiguó gōngsī gōngzuò.’
