Nǐ Shì Dàifu ma?
Dialogue I

Vocabulary

Notes
1 ‘Hǎojiǔ bù jiàn’ This is another greeting expression which is used for acquaintances who haven't seen each other for quite a long time.
2 ‘Rènshi nǐ hěn gāoxìng.’ This is a courteous expression used when meeting people for the first time. We can also say ‘Hěn gāoxìng rènshi nǐ’.
3 When a personal pronoun or a noun is used attributively to show possession, it usually takes ‘de’ after it, e.g., ta de péngyou, Bǐdé de gēge. But when it refers to a family relation or a place where the pronoun belongs, the personal pronoun does not take ‘de’ after it, e.g., nǐ gēge, tā bàba.
